Dan has recently transitioned to the nonprofit world after working with technology companies over the last twenty years as an investment banker and a senior operating executive. Dan became a proponent of collective impact while working on a Promise Neighborhood grant with the United Way of Worcester, MA. He has a particular interest in youth and education and believes there is a huge opportunity to improve the capital flow in the nonprofit market.
After starting his career as a Certified Financial Planner, Dan returned to business school where he earned an MBA and subsequently joined Adams, Harkness and Hill, an emerging-growth focused investment bank. At Adams, Harkness, Dan concentrated primarily on the technology market, managing the software and internet group and conducting public offerings, private placements and M&A transactions. He then led Business Development, Sales Operations and Corporate Development for Mpower Communications, a public CLEC. Most recently, Dan ran Sales Operations for Infinia Corp, a venture-financed solar equipment manufacturer.
