JoAnne Berg

JoAnne Berg is a sought after business advisor, speaker, teacher, and facilitator. With over 30 years of professional experience as a CFO and COO, she brings a “big picture” view to creating and running successful small businesses which work FOR their owners, not the other way around. Her firm, Peer Coaching Network, works with small business owners in the areas of strategy, finance, operations, and marketing to help them achieve their entrepreneurial dreams.
JoAnne knows what it takes to run a business: she’s done it, successfully, many times. In addition, she is a gifted teacher and speaker who has the ability to make complex subjects understandable and actionable. Her industry experience includes retailing, manufacturing, product development and licensing, distribution, real estate development, consulting, business services, software development, and non profits.

Currently JoAnne serves as Board Member and Treasurer of San Diego Social Venture Partners (SDSVP), the San Diego affiliate of Social Venture Partners International (SVPI). SDSVP is a unique organization of successful individuals who invest their talents and resources in innovative nonprofit organizations in the greater San Diego community. JoAnne also founded the Business Operations Resource Team of SDSVP, which consults with nonprofits in the areas of financial and business management and operations.

As an adjunct professor at UCSD Extension, JoAnne teaches classes in financial management for both businesses and non profits.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and is an actively licensed CPA in the State of California.
