San Diego Social Venture Partners’ mission is to cultivate effective philanthropists who drive community solutions with investments of time, expertise and resources.

Thank you for your interest in using San Diego Social Venture Partners’ Capacity Assessment Tool (CAT).  The CAT was originally created by McKinsey & Company and adapted for nonprofit organizations.  The objective of the CAT is to evaluate your organization in key capacity building areas and identify strengths and weaknesses.  The results can be used to establish goals and measure growth in organizational capacity over time. The key areas which are evaluated include Mission/ Vision/ Strategy & Planning, Program Design and Evaluation, Human Resources, CEO/Management Leadership, Information Technology, Financial Management, Fund Development, Board Leadership, Legal Affairs and Marketing/ Communications.
