San Diego Social Venture Partners

The new buzz in philanthropy is all about "collective impact" -- broad, cross-sector coordination that achieves large-scale social change.  The term was the subject of a winter 2010 Stanford Social Innovation Review article written by John Kania and Mark Kramer of FSG Social Impact Consultants.

On June 20th, SVP co-hosted Working Better Together: Collective Impact in Action for our Investees and other nonprofits, funders, and school districts in San Diego.  Speakers included David Haskell of Dreams InDeed and Greg Landsman of Strive Partnership who told their stories, inspired the crowd to dream big and shared lessons that will hopefully catalyze similar collective impact efforts in our community. Stay tuned for more updates on the Collective Impact initiative in San Diego…
