Global Social Venture Partners Meet in Minneapolis

In October, SVP Partners and staff from all over North America and Japan gathered in Minneapolis for the annual Social Venture Partners Conference.

The conference was an inspirational sharing of new ideas and transformational stories. The first day started with a “Living the SVP Brand” Workshop where participants learned how to tell a compelling SVP story to inspire connections. Over the next two days, conference attendees heard from  two outstanding keynote speakers:  Dan Pallotta, author of Uncharitable who spoke about the importance of nonprofits investing in overhead, and Jeff Edmondson, president of the Strive Network ,who wants to work with the SVP network to expand “collective impact” to several cities. On the final day of the conference, SVP International Board Chair and SVP San Diego Partner, Alan Sorkin received a standing ovation as he turned the chairmanship over to Silicon Valley Social Venture’s Lance Fors. As a result of our time together, the SVP network was recharged and ready to unleash our full potential!

Check out more conference highlights.  Read The Line and Star Tribune media coverage of the event.
