Take your organization to the next level by applying for SVP’s pro bono consulting support. Selected nonprofits will receive highly skilled support delivered in deep partnership. Applications accepted during two bi-annual cycles (Spring and Fall).

Eligible organizations can focus on any issue and have:

Registered as a 501(c)(3) or are fiscally sponsored a 501(c)(3)
-
Annual revenue above $400,000

A minimum of two full-time, paid staff members; ideally five or more

Headquarters and primary populations served based in the County of San Diego
-
Board and executive leadership who are committed to a hands-on partnership with SVP to build organizational capacity

Nonprofits are selected based on IMPACT and FIT

IMPACT - We are looking for nonprofits that:

Are making or very likely to make strong positive change in San Diego
-
Have a compelling vision for the future and a clear plan for how to achieve it
​
FIT with SVP - Ideal nonprofits for our partnership may:

Be at an inflection point

Need organizational infrastructure to catch up with rapid growth

Have identified the need for improvement in multiple Support Areas that would increase impact
-
Have strong leadership that is prepared to make significant changes and improvements to the organization

If selected for a pro bono consulting engagement, your organization will be matched with a small team of our Partners (typically three) with the interests and skills to deliver upon your support area needs.

Each team has a Lead Partner who serves as the primary point of contact for the executive director. Participation may also include members of your leadership team and board of directors.

The team will develop a Scope of Support outlining the goals, project workflow, timeline, and anticipated outcomes of our collaboration. You will meet regularly with your SVP team with dedicated nonprofit staff time to the agreed-upon project deliverables between meetings. Engagements typically conclude in five to eight months
