We review all forms received and compare the skills and interests of applicants against our existing group and the needs of the nonprofit community with the goal of ensuring that we can meet the expections of our Partners and best serve the community. Based on this review, you may be invited to join.

Make a Donation

We require all Partners to make an annual, personally significant gift. We encourage Partners to give at the $5000+ level but recognize that personally significant giving is different for different people and allow for that flexibility.

  • Most donations are between $3500 and $6000.

  • There is a minimum required $1500 per person per year.

  • If you want to donate by credit card or checking account, you can do so here and even set up recurring donations monthly or quarterly, if you prefer to break it up.

  • We can also take stock transfers. Click here for instructions.

Checks can be sent to:

3990 Old Town Ave, Suite C304

San Diego, CA 92110

Attend Two Orientations

We ask that all Partners attend a two-part New Partner Orientation.

Part I: Overview of SVP’s unique positioning and impact. Partners are introduced to the SVP community and the myriad ways to engage with SVP. You will also meet your "Sherpa" who is another SVP Partner who will be in touch with you periodically during your first year, and the rest of your cohort of new Partners.

Part II: Introduction to our process and approach. After attending this session, Partners will feel prepared to jump into an engagement.

Check the SVP Calendar for our next orientation dates.
