Our MAKE Projects team has been firing on all cylinders since December when we began supporting the organization’s spinoff from the International Rescue Committee. It has been a joy for our Partners to work with Executive Director Anchi Mei and her team on almost every aspect of launching an independent nonprofit.
The team led by Partner Robert Hill has worked alongside MAKE in the unique alliance that SVP has with its nonprofit partners. Over the course of the past five months, nine of our Partners have collaborated with MAKE in business plan development, financial planning, marketing and communication, fund development strategy, governance structure and more.
Under Anchi’s leadership, MAKE Projects is rapidly expanding its reach to help recent immigrants maximize their potential in the workforce and in life. The organization’s expanding social enterprise model provides apprenticeship opportunities through their urban farm stand program, catering and takeout packages, and pop-up restaurant in North Park. We are honored to be part of MAKE’s success!
