LAUREN GRATTAN

Lauren Grattan is committed to improving our communities through a strong and innovative social sector. She shares her strengths in fundraising, communications, strategy and group facilitation to help social sector organizations achieve their missions.

With nearly 10 years of fundraising experience in a wide variety of nonprofits - from large universities to small, volunteer-run initiatives - Grattan provides development solutions from high-level strategy through implementation. Her strengths are in major individual gifts and corporate and private foundation support - as well as incorporating board governance with fundraising.

As a nonprofit facilitator and thought partner, Grattan assists organizations with discovering their unique value, tracking the right donor and prospect data, structuring their impact measurement, clarifying external communications and demystifying philanthropy.

Grattan is currently the Director of Community Engagement at Mission Driven Finance, which is an impact investment firm empowering community through new models of investing in social change. She was a Co-Founder and Board Member of Foothold Foundation, propelling collaboration in the social sector, an active member of Women Give San Diego and the former Board Chair of YNPN San Diego, the young nonprofit professionals network. She has worked in development for Natural High, UC San Diego, NAF (formerly National Academy Foundation) and for select nonprofit clients.

Grattan grew up in Honolulu before succumbing to island fever and heading to Columbia University in New York to pursue a BA in Philosophy.

She recharges by cooking, reading, hiking and practicing yoga.
