VICKY KERN

Vicky Kern is a CPA with a broad skill set and over 30 years of experience. She started her career in public accounting. For the last decade she has worked in nonprofit organizations and is currently the controller of La Jolla Institute for Immunology.

Kern served on the board of HIPPY USA as treasurer and secretary for six years and Project Mercy as treasurer for five years. She also has volunteered with the SDSU Aztec Mentor program, Girl Scouts San Diego, UCSD Alternative Breaks, and American Field Services (AFS) as a host mom.

Kern attended UCSD and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. She also attended SDSU and graduated with an MS in Accountancy.

Kern’s primary focus is spending quality time with family and friends. She enjoys gardening, book clubs, pickleball, geocaching adventures with her partner, hiking and travelling.
