Welcome to San Diego Social Venture Partners
San Diego Social Venture Partners is an organization of individuals who want to discover the nonprofit world, find their passion, and determine how to best invest their money and time to improve the community.
In addition to financial contributions, some SDSVP Partners donate their professional expertise to strengthen the internal operations of nonprofits, so they can deliver their programs and services more effectively. By pooling resources and knowledge, SDSVP makes a greater impact than an individual might achieve alone.
Since 2001, SDSVP has delivered to the San Diego community:
- $20 million in cash and in-kind services
- 360 effective philanthropists
- 86,000 strategic volunteer hours

San Diego Social Venture Partners has chosen Building Healthy Communities as our new focus area for 2012-13.
Adding to our other important focus areas of education, youth, military families, Building Healthy Communities could not be timelier. The obesity rate for children and adults in San Diego is higher than the national average – some experts are calling it an epidemic.
