NANCY CANNON-O’CONNELL

Dr. Cannon is an executive/leadership coach and consultant, bringing twenty years of management experience to her work with senior managers and teams. Today, she works with entrepreneurs in start-ups and emerging leaders in major US/global corporations and innovative nonprofits. She has held the position of vice president for strategic development in two national health care firms and has consulted extensively on issues ranging from management responses to accelerated market changes, and product development strategies to meet shifting customer demands to leadership development in times of organizational disruption. She has completed management consulting engagements in both the public and private sectors. From 2007 – 2011, Dr. Cannon was an adjunct faculty member at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Her consulting & coaching clients have included teams & individuals in healthcare, finance, tech, energy, entertainment and the social sector. Her work has taken her into Chevron and Ford Motor Company, Franklin Templeton, Merck, Eli Lilly, Pfizer, and Stanford University as well as technology firms such as IBM, Agilent /Philips Medical Systems, Cisco, and Salesforce.com. She has supported individuals and teams at SunRun, TripAdvisor, Reddit, Tesla, Warner Brothers, Technicolor, The Sobrato Organization, The Hewlett Foundation, Rubicon Partners, and OpenImpact.IO.

Her client work has spanned Venezuela, parts of Europe and South Africa. For instance, she recently was a convener of exchange programs with social entrepreneurs from China through work with Social Venture Partners, Int’l. Nancy’s diverse portfolio of business experience, coupled with her strong interpersonal skills, creates a thoughtful approach to problem solving that readily builds trust and acceptance.

Today, Nancy lives and works in San Diego, Calif,...along with her husband, Tom, their 2 cats, and her daughter, Madelyne, in nearby Carlsbad.
