Announcing Our 2022 Investees

Updated: Oct 4, 2022

We just wrapped up our Funding Cycle 2022 to select two Investees who will receive two years of pro bono capacity building support along with $25,000 in unrestricted funding.

Our Partners selected Logan Heights Community Development Corporation and Voices of Our City Choir as SVP’s 2022 Investees. Both organizations are well positioned for growth and ready to collaborate with SVP to reach the next level and outsize their impact in the community.

“The Investee selection process was streamlined, efficient, well-run, and delivered excellent results. It was a pleasure to participate!” - Partner Robin Pruitt

Selection entailed a robust diligence process led by our Partners to find organizations at an inflection point where SVP can have the most impact. The highly competitive review of more than 40 nonprofit organizations was inspiring and reflective of San Diego’s thriving nonprofit sector. SVP Partners enjoyed the opportunity to learn how so many organizations are taking an innovative approach to our community’s most pressing issues.

Logan Heights CDC is determined to change lives by strengthening residents and business in Greater Logan Heights neighborhoods through community empowerment, education, economic growth, and housing development.

Voices of Our City Choir changes the experience and perception of homelessness, helping San Diego’s unsheltered neighbors reconnect with hope and possibility through the healing power of music, individualized care, and advocacy.

Customized teams of SVP Partners designed to meet the nonprofit’s capacity building needs will begin consulting support for Voices of Our City Choir and Logan Heights CDC in the coming weeks. We cannot wait for the work ahead!
